Fabrication Work:

  • Designed and installed a battery and BMS control center featuring backlighting and plexiglass doors for easy monitoring of internal components.

  • Removed the SSB radio and its antenna mounts from the davit to accommodate upgraded electronics and larger solar panels.

  • Removed the obsolete Wi-Fi antenna mount on the davit, no longer needed due to the Starlink installation.

  • Redesigned the solar arch with several improvements:

    • Relocated the switch near the sugar scoop and routed wiring for the “davit lights” inside the arch tubing for a clean, factory-installed appearance.

    • Installed mounts for Starlink and Iridium satellite antennas; Starlink currently uses an RV antenna but is designed to accept a marine antenna in the future.

    • Positioned solar panels to avoid extending too far aft, preserving Mediterranean mooring capability.

    • Arranged panels to maintain clear visibility of the sail during maneuvers.

    • Configured solar panels to support a zip-in canvas cover beneath them, providing full shade and waterproof protection when installed, while allowing sail visibility when removed.
