Fabrication Work:
Designed and installed a battery and BMS control center featuring backlighting and plexiglass doors for easy monitoring of internal components.
Removed the SSB radio and its antenna mounts from the davit to accommodate upgraded electronics and larger solar panels.
Removed the obsolete Wi-Fi antenna mount on the davit, no longer needed due to the Starlink installation.
Redesigned the solar arch with several improvements:
Relocated the switch near the sugar scoop and routed wiring for the “davit lights” inside the arch tubing for a clean, factory-installed appearance.
Installed mounts for Starlink and Iridium satellite antennas; Starlink currently uses an RV antenna but is designed to accept a marine antenna in the future.
Positioned solar panels to avoid extending too far aft, preserving Mediterranean mooring capability.
Arranged panels to maintain clear visibility of the sail during maneuvers.
Configured solar panels to support a zip-in canvas cover beneath them, providing full shade and waterproof protection when installed, while allowing sail visibility when removed.
