Enjoying a day off… and not sitting around PNYH bitching about the cold and nothing to do!
.
Sucks my “hot chick” is still working!!
…@ 40 gallons/hr!
.
And it’s not like it was broken. I just did not know how to work it!
.
GREAT tech support from @echotecwatermakers patiently walking me through everything!
Saw this yesterday and realized I never saw one while diving! So majestic!
.
Only thing I have not seen now is an Octopus!
🚨 NEW BLOG ALERT! 🚨
“Captain of the Bubble Brigade”
.
I steer, I decide, I pretend to know what I’m doing — and somehow get paid for it. 💸⚓️
Responsible for lives, chaos, and the occasional rogue tank. Come see what it’s like to run a dive boat without a clue… and love every second.

🚨 NEW BLOG DROP! 🚨
“Southbound Shenanigans: The Voyage of the Vomit Comet”
.
It’s the inspirational story of three men, one boat, and the violent rejection of everything the crew ate north of Cape Hatteras. 🌊🤮
Sailing, cussing, puking, and praying — not necessarily in that order.
.
👉 Click the link in my profile and witness the floating frat party that somehow made it to Key West in one piece.
So after hanging out all morning on beautiful clear bluewater, listening tunes, bullshitting with a bunch of divers and making $250 doing it, I now get to go into my favorite bar in Key West for lunch as it’s in the same marina the dive boat goes out!
.
FREAKING INCREDIBLE!!
.
Will it ever get old?!
Not as sweet as the bachelorette parties I was captain for in Annapolis….but it’s still a cool f…ing job!!!
As we all used to take pictures of our kids going off to the first day of school… Here’s Captain Ohana Dave going off on his first day at work.
.
Looks like they plan to use me the majority of the time as a captain, between the three shops they have. Only instructor work will be doing PADI check out dives for visitors who did e-learning in their hometown state.

7 months now of living the life on a tropical island! Working as a Dive Instructor, also acting as a Captain, and having fun with my new cute best buddy!
Our first fish! A “Little Tunny” (Tuna) 50 miles off coast of South Carolina.
.
No size limit so we are eating it!
(Yes, I’m still in my PJ’s!)

My shift is 7 to 11
Joe’s is 11 to 3
Chris is 3 to 7!

You guys have no idea how Incredibles this is! 4 years of planning and all I went through with MOG Antibody… I am now finally heading to the islands!

Got held by the Navy for me to move to the side (outside the channel) making room for this little boat to come through.
Interesting how one day changes things. As you get closer to the day of passage, the weather models all coincide with each other, confirming what the weather will really be.
.
The first picture we ran yesterday and as you see, there was a lot of differences between weather models .
.
The second picture we ran this morning and they’re all starting to lineup together confirming what the weather will really be.
Our plan is to head outside tomorrow, around Cape Hatteras and then straight to KW. ETA is next Wednesday the 21st
Can Track via this link…will have Starlink running the whole time.

Will probably be taking the outer routes below. Plan to re-run route once we pass Hatteras before the different wind models diverge hoping they all get closer together and more accurate.
We are Key West bound!
.
7 day trip.

.
Funny we both got into sailing!

So that was:
- A canned fish tray (oyster, sardines, calamari)
- My first coochie-coochie tray.
- Chips/dip
- Assorted sandwich platters
- A shit load of crab dip!.
.
And being the only host, was too busy to take pictures of the event.
.
Thanks all for coming! Here’s to a great 2025 Sail Boat Show!
