And it looks like my old marina manager from Pier 7 (Will) was in the lead!!! Looked like he was the captain and almost fricking clipped the front of Ohana! (Boat in video was not him… He flew past me before I realized I was in the middle of the finish line!) . God I love this town!
Reason why we (@lazygeckosailing) hate doing repairs. The repair takes 10 min…the clean up takes 2hrs!! And you always have to remake a freaking bed in the process!!! . Jeremiah has it lucky… 2 helpers & 1 to just sit there and look

Generator error was because the impeller error failed!!!… A quick fix! The hardest part is digging underneath the port birth to get the parts!

So after that lightning strike yesterday, I didn’t have the nerve to take the charter out tonight… I asked the other more seasoned Capt. Dave to take them out tonight. (yes there’s more than one of us. That’s why I’m “Captain Ohana Dave.”) . For once not a bachelorette party… This is a sweet 16 party… They were all thanking me for bringing a Bluetooth speaker as the amplifier got toasted in the lightning strike.… . This captain Dave was like no big deal and using his iPad to navigate and a portable handheld VHF radio. If he is successful tonight, I’ll take the Friday and Saturday charters….yes, you can call me the “P” word🤪
OMG… The Chart House in Annapolis is my second favorite bar! (SOB being my main bar) . Not only do they have blue point oysters, but they have, fresh stuffed blue cheese olives, and Chopin vodka!

In freaking believable… I got hit by lightning today doing a charter!!!!…. Was very stressful to have so many souls on the boat that I was responsible for when I had no instruments and no idea of the extent of the damage. . The guests all loved it… Were enjoying the fact that they got to help out, as I had to get somebody to get up on bow to holler to a boat in front of us that I need to follow them as I had no radio, lights, electronics …. pouring down rain with very little visibility… On a boat that did not have a protected helm so I was getting soaked up top. . I love my Ohana 😘
I’m always passing y girl when I captain these charters… I feel so unfaithful to her by being on another catamaran! . (You always know when she gets jealous or upset w/ me - Something Breaks!)

Another project for Key West done… Video surveillance installed. Cool camera that lets me talk to anyone, not just record sound! . Just now that I’m single I have to clean up the mess from installing it…and MAN, almost every cabin

So Donna taught me… If I’m the only one laughing, I’m being obnoxious if everybody’s laughing then I’m being funny… . Since I’m the only one sitting here, laughing at myself, does that mean I’m being obnoxious?
For once, I don’t need to be anywhere at any certain time I can just hang out and play with the sails and enjoy retirement… . Did I mention I was now a PADI dive instructor!🤪🤪🎉
Yea, they fixed it! . I’m used to cruising at 6 kn… now 8.5 kn at only 2,200 RPMs: yeah Captain Dave’s gonna be cruising like the power boaters! 🤪
After my sea trial yesterday, stayed out on the hook in the Chester. . Came in this morning for the “Piney Narrows Coffee Committee”… We meet every morning at 8:30!

Have a few charters to captain this weekend and Monday so I’m planing to hang on the hook in Down Town Annapolis - outer harbor …doing boat projects (install video surveillance & starting to sew the solar panel/aft deck cover.) and day drinking.🤪 . Just give me a shout out if you want to visit and spend the night. (Down to one spare cabin as with no woman on board, the other one has become a junk room.🤪)
You have no idea how nice this is not being worried about overtime errors… And I think it’ll be a quick fix to get the throttle to go up to 3,200!
