  • A critical electrical hazard was discovered aboard Ohana: a loose crimp connection on a battery wire had overheated, melting the surrounding insulation. This fault was hidden behind walls and would not have been detected during routine visual inspections, posing a serious fire risk within a few years.

  • The port fuel gauge has been fully restored. During the rewiring of the alternators to charge the house battery bank, a suspected grounding issue with the MDI unit was identified and corrected.

  • While the other upgrades were going on Ohana also got new carpeting in the salon and new seat cushions in the cockpit area
