Beneath the Surface

Marker “32”, Key West, FL 12/28/2025

This section is a window into the world just below the waterline, captured during dives, swims, and moments when I slow down enough to really look.

What often goes unnoticed is the effort behind these images. Staying neutrally buoyant, avoiding the reef, managing light, depth, and framing, all while fish refuse to sit still and pose, takes more awareness and patience than you might expect. In short, it is harder than it looks.

Now that life has shifted into warmer waters, literally and figuratively, I have drifted away from “Boredom Logging” and most of the social media noise. I do not even have Instagram or Facebook on my devices anymore. What remains is more present, more intentional, and more real.

These images are part of that shift. Quiet moments, living color, and a reminder that some of the best stories are happening just beneath the surface.
